While your body naturally cleanses itself of toxins every day, sometimes we need a little extra help to restore alkalinity, our body’s pH balance, for our system to function efficiently. Cold-pressed juice fasting floods your body with vitamins, minerals, and live enzymes while allowing your digestive system to rest. During a cold-pressed juice cleanse, the energy normally required for digestion is redirected to restore your body and balanced acidity. Our fast-cleansing programs are designed to energize and rejuvenate your system, so you can function at your optimal level of health.
Why is Cold-pressed important?
Our Raw, unpasteurized cold-pressed juice is nutritious as nature intended. We cold-press our fresh fruits and vegetables so that our juice is never heated. The cold press process preserves all live enzymes, vitamins, and minerals from our fresh fruits and vegetables, which you can feel immediately as they flood your body with nourishment.
We are proud to cold press our raw juice using the unsurpassed, standard of cold press, the Norwalk 280. The Norwalk uses slow-moving blades to pulverize produce into pulp. The pulp is then wrapped in cloth and squeezed by a hydraulic press producing thousands of pounds of pressure. Unlike traditional centrifugal juicers, the Norwalk extracts juice from produce without the use of heat, hence the term cold-pressed. We know that when produce is heated, it is stripped of many elements that are essential to maintaining the healthy lifestyle that we treasure.
What is the difference between Cold pressed, homemade and store-bought juice?
Existing packaged juices in the market contain preservatives, chemicals, growth hormones, stabilizers and are full of added sugar. While our juices are made of 100% raw fruits and vegetables, juices in the market typically contain only 8-10% fruit or vegetables.
Raw juices are not pasteurized at high temperatures and contain no chemicals, preservatives, artificial colors or added sugar. In addition, household juicers or blenders involve a high-speed rotating blade or strainer, which create heat and causes oxidation, destroying vital nutrients in the juice. As no heat or air is thrust through the juice during the cold-pressing process, it retains far more nutrition and living enzymes are kept intact. This allows you to absorb the maximum nutrients, vitamins, and minerals possible from the raw produce.
How should I prepare?
We recommend taking it easy for a couple of days before starting your cleanse so that it’s not too much of a shock to the system. Nothing radical, maybe just lay off a heavy dinner the night before. Try not to fall into the trap of feeling like you can have a massive blowout because you’re starting a cleanse tomorrow. Whether you choose to do a juice-only cleanse or add juices to your normal diet, for the best results, please refrain from alcohol, coffee, sodas, sugar, and processed foods.
How many calories are in my juice?
Calories aren’t bad for you – they are just a measure of energy! Please don't think of our Cleanse programs as a weight reduction diet; we want to get you out of that mentality and see them as part of a lifestyle.
Will I lose weight?
Our cleanses help with weight management and reduce water retention. While they are primarily designed for cleansing your system, you may find that the scales shift and that you lose weight as your body flushes out excess water and toxins. Cleansing on a regular basis will help to restore natural balance and enhance your shape.
Is your produce organic?
Much of it is. Availability of organic produce varies seasonally. Trust us, we know the benefits and we are working our way from pesticide-free produce to certified-organic produce.
How long is my juice good for?
Our juices are pressed the day you pick them up, so they will be good for six days from the day of delivery.
So what's the deal of HPP?
If you drink cold-pressed juice on a regular basis you might already be aware of the difference between HPP and truly raw, cold-pressed juice. If you’re not and don’t understand how juice found in supermarkets can have a shelf life of up to a month, while claiming to be raw, let us explain!
Raw means unpasteurized which essentially means unheated. Raw juice lasts up to four days. Juice that has been High Pressure Processed (HPP) has not been treated using standard heat pasteurization so technically, it is raw. Although it’s raw by definition, it isn't fresh, because fresh juice doesn't last longer than four days. These companies can still say it’s ‘cold-pressed’ because they are juicing the majority of their products using the same cold pressing method (some companies do add cheap fruit pulps and purees too). However, it’s what happens after the juicing process that determines if it's processed or not. A true raw company will juice, bottle, and sell whereas HPP juice goes through another step that extends the shelf life.
Fresh, Raw unpasteurized juice contains the highest amount of healing phytonutrients, enzymes, and vitamins. Though we aren’t against HPP (high-pressure pasteurization), our juices were created with cleansing and nutrition in mind rather than simply flavor and shelf-life. Though HPP extends the shelf-life of juice to 45 days, nutrients are not preserved for 45 days. Our juices are for those who know the difference and share the belief that juice should be consumed organic and fresh.
Will I be in the bathroom the whole time?
